Security

Security of our customers and confidentiality of received information are among top priorities of Translateria.

In order to maximise the safety of received data, we provide our regular customers with a unique computer application which enables them to transfer their files to our server over secure connection. Unlike e-mail service, the application establishes a direct encrypted connection with the server of Translateria. The data is then filed and stored on the server. The server itself is protected with top anti-virus and anti-hacking software, and it is under 24-hour surveillance. A server backup copy is made every 24 hours, which reduces the risk of data loss to minimum.

We have decided to offer this medium of data exchange between Translateria and our customers as an alternative to the e-mail service due to the following security factors:

  • E-mail is rarely encrypted.
  • There is a risk that the message will be lost (information can be lost in the net or can get intercepted by unauthorised individuals).
  • E-mail is prone to carry and spread computer viruses.
  • E-mail is the main way in which spam messages are spread.

Due to the increasing risk of infection with computer viruses, hacker activity, and other damage caused by spyware, all computers of Translateria are protected by top anti-virus and firewall software.

In order to protect the files of our customers, the number of people who deal with them has been reduced. All the employees who have access to those files have been carefully verified by Translateria, and have signed a confidentiality agreement.

The customer can be asked for personal/company information while completing some of the forms on the website. In order to protect all information sent in this way, Translateria uses mechanisms which protect critical sections of the website from unauthorised access.
